This is what happens when you take a 1.9 scaler on a trail made for 2.2 comp crawlers

I need to start saying pucker again. It rolls of the tongue very nicely.

That’s pretty well detailed, at a glance I was like, “ how the fuck is he going to get back in the car”

They look even better when they have all the little details.

Is that front diff functional? I’d actually like to see what you are talking about, the details are pretty stunning already, as I said at glance it looked real, and damn near as detailed as a non functional model. I’m impressed.

I really wish more people were into crawlers here. I have a CR01 FJ40 but since i moved away a couple of years ago i no longer have anyone to crawl with and its been sitting gathering dust :(

My next RC is for sure going to be some sort of trail truck or something.

Both diffs are functional in the sense that they act like a spool and stay locked 100% of the time. But i think there’s a little bit of play in the front diff that helps the turning radius.
These things can get crazy detailed also, all the way to a nicely weathered street/trail truck to a full on all-trail-all-the-time truck

Maybe, its a pretty expensive hobby to have here in New Zealand though, barely any local support from the hobby shops. Far more expensive than the more commonly used Rc drifters here. What are the specs on yours?

Thanks for the pics that’s really cool.
Fast is overrated as well, when I was a teenager I built a gas powered truck, a gt something I don’t really remember. I had it for a week or two until a screw fell out that held the throttle body on. It burnt up the main gear in one spot, and sat there at full throttle for a second, I ran up to it, but I guess it slowly found enough friction to rotate it to where there were teeth and it shot into a wall. It was hilarious, but needless to say my rc car days were over, that thing was pretty damn expensive.

Oh, i’m sure it’s expensive all the way out there. And as for my truck its a stock RC4WD Gelende 2 except for a 20 turn motor, XVD axles up front and the 1.9 mud slinger tires.

I’m fine with slow. I have a Slash if I want to go fast.

Scale crawlers are super cool
